How do I set a floor price?
In the app, once. The floor is the lowest price you will sell at. Buyers bid above it every 15 minutes, and anything below it stays with you.
Your floor is a single number: the lowest price per kWh you are willing to accept. You set it once in the app and can change it any time.
Picking a number
A good starting floor is a little above what your utility pays. If the utility pays $0.07, a floor of $0.10 to $0.12 means every sale beats the old deal, and you still sell most blocks.
Set it too high and fewer blocks clear. Set it too low and you leave money on the table. The live market page shows you today’s price so you can see where your floor sits.
What happens below the floor
Nothing sells. Your surplus goes to the utility at their normal rate, exactly as it does today. The floor is a promise that you will never do worse than before.
