Hillside is a smallholding on the Front Range with a 12 kW solar array and a 5 kW wind turbine that was mostly there for the barn.

Two sellers, one shop

The gateway reads both systems. Solar lists during the day and wind lists whenever it blows, which on the Front Range is often overnight and through the winter. Together they list surplus in most blocks of the day.

Why a co-op customer

Hillside’s electricity co-op credits exports at a low rate, so nearly every block that clears on the market is a big improvement. Their floor is set at $0.09, low enough that almost everything sells.
